Jeff Mark   JEFF MARK, Principal

Jeff Mark founded Mark Development Corporation in 1985, which changed its name to Mark-Taylor in 1990 with the addition of Scott Taylor. He is responsible for product development, site planning and construction. Prior to 1985, he owned J.L. Mark Builders, a contracting firm that built 15,000 apartment units in the states of Arizona, California and New Mexico. With his experience, Mark-Taylor, Inc. has created new, innovative, national and regional award-winning projects, which address and fulfill the demands of today's renter. Mark was nominated as Ernst & Young’s 1999 Entrepreneur of the Year.
     
Scott Taylor   SCOTT TAYLOR, Principal

Scott Taylor has overall responsibility for investment strategy, venture structuring and operations. Prior to forming Mark-Taylor in 1990, Scott was executive vice president for Pinnacle Realty, a national apartment property management firm. He is an Arizona licensed Real Estate Broker and passed the CPA exam while with Touche Ross and Company. He has served as chairman of the Arizona Multi-Housing Association, on the board of the National Apartment Association, as an Associate Director of the National Multi-Housing Council, a member of Phoenix’s Vision 2025 Committee, on the Advisory Board of Childhelp USA and was nominated, along with Jeff Mark for Ernst & Young’s 1999 Entrepreneur of the Year. He graduated from Washington State University with a degree in accounting.
     
John White   JOHN WHITE, Chief Financial Officer

John White joined Mark-Taylor in 2011 and brings nearly 25 years of accounting experience and leadership in the commercial real estate industry. John's key responsibility is to develop and execute financial goals to maximize the value of all Mark-Taylor assets. Most recently, John led accounting functions for RED Development, overseeing financial initiatives including management and review of financial statement and reports, budgets, and the general ledger. Prior to that, he served as controller of leading property management and real estate development firms Cavan Real Estate Investments and Denali National Trust. John's vision for Mark-Taylor is to streamline accounting processes to enable optimal performance for all assets under the Mark-Taylor umbrella.

     
Doreen   DOREEN GANNON, Vice President, Development Operations

Doreen joined Mark-Taylor in 1994 and is responsible for administering all contractual obligations, due diligence and title/escrow activities, along with supporting the entitlement process. Prior to Mark-Taylor, Doreen was an escrow officer with Fidelity National Title from 1988 – 1994.

     
picture   JOE LEWANDOWSKI, Vice President Field Operations

Joe Lewandowski oversees all construction operations including the management of project superintendents, quality control standards and day-to-day field operations. Lewandowski has worked with Jeff Mark for over 25 years as part of JL Mark Builders and Mark Development, framing and developing more than 20,000 luxury apartment units in the southwest.

Lewandowski is also the qualifying employee for Mark-Taylor’s Contractor’s Licenses in Arizona, Nevada and New Mexico.

     
Kevin   KEVIN MULLANEY, Vice President of Construction

Kevin Mullaney joined Mark-Taylor in 1993 and is responsible for project budgets, purchasing, contracts and administrative field operations for all projects under development. As a licensed general contractor, he has extensive knowledge of engineering, architecture, estimating and purchasing – a result of more than 35 years in construction management.

In addition to multifamily projects, Kevin has experience in single family as well as commercial construction in California, New Mexico and Arizona.

     
Rob Orme   ROB ORME,Principal Architect

Rob Orme originally joined Mark-Taylor in 1999 as Principal Architect for Architectural Design Group, the in-house architecture department of Mark-Taylor, Inc. After a year-long hiatus to facilitate the establishment of a local office for a national architecture firm in 2007, Rob rejoined the company as its Principal Architect.
 
Prior to joining Mark-Taylor, Rob was a project manager with Todd and Associates, Inc., where he managed the creation and coordination of plans for more than 2500 dwelling units. Since coming to Mark-Taylor, Rob has participated in obtaining the entitlements and has overseen the plan approval and construction of more than 3000 additional units.  Among his multifamily projects are many award-winning communities.
 
Rob is originally from Los Angeles, California, has lived in Japan and received his Professional Bachelor of Architecture degree in 1992 at California State Polytechnic University in Pomona. He is a licensed architect in Arizona.

     
Bob Singer   BOB SINGER, Design Architect

Bob Singer joined Mark-Taylor in 1994, and is the company’s original design architect. Bob’s award-winning design work began at Mark-Taylor with the development of The Tradition and Legend at Kierland, and transcends throughout dozens of communities across the Greater Phoenix area. Prior to joining Mark-Taylor,  Bob worked for  small firms, handling design work for banks, schools, retail, commercial, and residential projects.  From there, Bob became an independent architect, developing remodel designs on multifamily projects for Evans-Withecomb.  It was there where his path crossed with Jeff Mark, and the two began to refine the signature look for Mark-Taylor’s award-winning apartment communities.
 
Bob received his B.S. in Humanities and Social Sciences at Oregon State University followed by a Bachelor of Architecture degree at Arizona State University.  He is originally from San Francisco, CA and is a licensed architect in both Arizona and California.

Chris Brozina   CHRIS BROZINA, Associate Vice President of Development

As Associate Vice President of Development, Chris manages aspects of land acquisition, zoning and permitting.

Chris comes to Mark-Taylor from CB Richard Ellis’ Phoenix office, where since 2007, he has been teamed with Sean Cunningham and Tyler Anderson in the sale of multi-housing properties. The Anderson Cunningham Team is widely recognized as one of the most prominent brokerage teams in the industry, and has consistently been ranked as one of the top 5 teams in CB Richard Ellis’ Capital Markets, Institutional Group, and Multi-Housing brokerage platforms.

During his tenure at CBRE, Chris participated in the sale of over $1.59 billion of multi-housing communities, consisting of over 17,300 apartment units, spanning the states of Arizona, California, Texas, Nevada, New Mexico, Washington, and Indiana. Additionally, Chris has had the pleasure of representing such companies as: Equity Residential, AIMCO, UBS, Heitman, BlackRock, Principal Life, Nationwide Life, LNR Partners, CW Capital, and American Campus Communities.

Chris graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Arizona and received his real estate license at the Arizona School of Real Estate & Business. In addition, Chris serves as a mentor for the Big Brothers Big Sisters non-profit organization.
